Honeycomb Candy recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar.
1 cup of dark corn syrup.
1 tablespoon of vinegar.
1 tablespoon of baking soda.
Melted chocolate (optional).
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup and vinegar.
Cook and stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Continue cooking without stirring until a candy thermometer reaches 300°F.
Remove candy from heat, then quickly stir in the baking soda and mix well.
Pour into a lightly buttered 9-inch square pan.
Do not spread as the candy will spread itself.
Allow to cool.
Break into pieces and dip in melted chocolate, if desired.
